Network Dynamics

Network dynamics refers to the study of how networks change and evolve over time. It encompasses various phenomena, such as the growth of networks, the formation and dissolution of connections between network elements, and the spread of information or influence within a network. Understanding network dynamics is crucial in various fields, including social network analysis, computer networking, epidemiology, and transportation systems. By examining network dynamics, researchers can gain insights into the behavior and properties of complex systems and develop strategies for optimizing network performance, predicting network behavior, and controlling network processes. Overall, network dynamics provides a framework for analyzing and modeling the intricate interplay between network structure, individual behavior, and system-level properties, enabling a deeper understanding of how networks function and change over time. #networkscience #socialnetworks #complexnetworks #datascience ...

Computational Network

A computational network refers to a system or structure composed of interconnected computational units, such as computers, servers, or processing nodes, that work together to perform complex computations or tasks. These networks can vary in size and complexity, ranging from small local networks to large-scale distributed computing systems.   In the context of data processing and analysis, computational networks are often used to handle the computational demands of processing and analyzing large datasets. They enable parallel processing and distributed computing, where tasks are divided among multiple nodes and executed simultaneously, thereby improving performance and efficiency. Computational networks can be designed using various architectures and technologies, such as clusters, grids, cloud computing platforms, or even specialized high-performance computing systems. They often employ techniques like load balancing, fault tolerance, and data partitioning to optimize resource util...

2nd Edition of international Conference on Network Science and Graph Analytics

Network Science and Graph Analytics are rapidly growing fields that study the structure, behaviour, and dynamics of complex networks, including social networks, biological networks, transportation networks, and more. International research awards in Network Science and Graph Analytics aim to recognize and honour outstanding contributions to these fields, and to promote innovation and excellence in research. These awards are typically presented by professional societies, academic organizations, and industry associations that are focused on Network Science and Graph Analytics. Some of these awards are specifically aimed at recognizing early career researchers, while others honour lifetime achievements in the field. Nominees for these awards are evaluated based on their research contributions, scientific impact, and the quality and relevance of their work. The awards often include a cash prize, a certificate, and an invitation to give a keynote speech or present their research at a confer...

Data Engineering 2

Data engineering is the practice of designing and building systems for collecting, storing, and analyzing data at scale. It is a broad field with applications in just about every industry. Organizations have the ability to collect massive amounts of data, and they need the right people and technology to ensure it is in a highly usable state by the time it reaches data scientists and analysts. Data Engineers maintain the data infrastructure to support business applications. As part of their responsibilities, they fuel Artificial Intelligence analytics and the Machine Learning process. Various positions held by a Data Engineer are listed below. Data Architects  ingest, design, and manage the sources of data essential for business insights to build a Data Engineering architecture. With in-depth knowledge of SQL and XML, they can integrate and organize certain parts of the data management system. Data Engineers  are the ones who need to be proficient in programming language...

Data Engineering

Data engineering is the process of designing and building systems that let people collect and analyze raw data from multiple sources and formats. These systems empower people to find practical applications of the data, which businesses can use to thrive. Data Engineering meaning can be explained in this way: It is a terminology used for collecting and validating quality data so that it can be used by Data Scientists. It is an incredibly broad field, which comprises employing different modules and data steps, such as data infrastructure, data mining, data crunching,  data acquisition , data modelling, and data management. #networkscience  #socialnetworks  #complexnetworks  #datascience  #graphtheory  #networkanalysis  #datavisualization  #networkresearch #networktopology #networkdynamics #socialnetworkanalysis  #datamining  #bigdataanalytics  #computationalnetworks #machinelearning  #artificialintelligence  #networkv...

Graph Analytics

Graph analytics, or Graph algorithms, are analytic tools used to determine the strength and direction of relationships between objects in a graph. The focus of graph analytics is on pairwise relationships between two objects at a time and structural characteristics of the graph as a whole. This focuses on the weight of the edges between nodes. It can be applied to identify weaknesses in a system or anomalies such as abnormally high or low activity. Community analysis- This focuses on the interactions between nodes. Three types of graphs are used in this course: line graphs, pie graphs, and bar graphs. Each is discussed below. Graph analytics is a field of study that involves analyzing and exploring relationships between entities in a network or graph. A graph consists of nodes (or vertices) and edges (or links) that connect them. Graph analytics involves using mathematical and computational techniques to study the structure, properties, and behavior of graphs. Website: https://network...

Complex Network

In the context of network theory, a complex network is a graph with non-trivial topological features—features that do not occur in simple networks such as lattices or random graphs but often occur in networks representing real systems. The complex networks are a set of many connected nodes that interact in different ways. Is common that the nodes in an netrwork are also called vertices or elements, mathematically those are represented by the symbols , where is the total number of nodes in the network. As a typical example of a complex system we can consider a cell, obviously, a cell is formed by many parts (ribosomes, nucleus, membrane, DNA, RNA, etc.), each part of a cell has its own specific function. The components of the cell respond in a non linear way when an external perturbation is done. For example sometimes a DNA mutation can be fatal, falciform anemia is a disease produced by one single mutation from the 600 aminoacids that built the beta-globin protein, that carried o...
